Talk Abstract
Game hacking is understandably banned in most games, but that doesn't stop would-be cheaters. Instead they cheese mechanics, develop their own extensions and plugins, create custom hotkey macros, and orchestrate an army of bots. Suspicious? Yes. Caught by traditional anticheat? WELL… There's a reason all the cheaters in this room now work in cyber security. This talk will be a nostalgic look at the game hacking of the past and some of the more unique approaches to delivering payloads they used.
Intended Audience
No prior knowledge needed, but I suspect that many people in the audience would have gotten their start in cyber security through game hacking, and it will be nostalgic for them.
